COMMENTS ON THE PAPER. In one study of Yemen #1-3 containing 111 examples, the following types of paper were found. 101 are on horizontally laid paper. 7 are on vertically laid paper. 3 are on wove paper.

(1.) 2 1/2 bogaches (2.) There is a break and 1, 2, or 3 dots at the top of the left dagger blade. (3.) Printed in sheets of 20. The plate positions are all a little different. (4.) Exp: do.


1926, Yemen, Scott #2, Genuine

(1.) 2 1/2 bogaches. (2.) #2 is printed on orange paper. This is the only difference between it and #1. (3.) Exp: do.

(1.) 5 bogaches. (2.) There is a sort of a "hockey stick" attached to the top of the left dagger blade by the tip of the handle. (3.) Exp: do.
